Liuzhou (Zhuang Liujcouh Si; chinesisch 柳州市, Pinyin Liǔzhōu Shì) ist eine bezirksfreie Stadt im Autonomen Gebiet Guangxi der Zhuang-Nationalität, in der Volksrepublik China.

Das Verwaltungsgebiet Liuzhous hat eine Fläche von 18.677 km² und ca. 3,54 Millionen Einwohner (Ende 2004). Liuzhou liegt im Zentrum Guangxis und ist daher einer der Verkehrs- und Wirtschaftsknotenpunkte des Gebietes. Industrie: Eisen- und Nichteisenmetallverhüttung, Maschinenbau, Fahrzeugbau. In den ländlichen Gebieten Liuzhous dominiert der Zuckerrohr-Anbau.

Der Fluss Liu windet sich in einem 180°-Bogen durch die Stadt. Er wird von acht Straßen- und einer Eisenbahnbrücke überspannt. Im Frühsommer ist er häufig durch aus dem Quellgebiet mitgebrachte Sedimente gelb gefärbt.

柳州市（りゅうしゅうし）は中華人民共和国の広西チワン族自治区に位置する地級市。  柳州市は広西チワン族自治区中部に位置し、桂林市・来賓市・河池市に接する。西江の支流である柳江が流れる。

Liuzhou (/ljuːˈdʒoʊ/;^[1] Chinese: 柳州, IPA Pronunciation:[ljòu.ʈʂóu]) is a prefecture-level city in north-central Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China.  Liuzhou is located on the banks of the winding Liu River, approximately 255 km (158 mi) from Nanning, the regional capital. By road, it is about 167 km (104 mi) to Guilin, 167 km (104 mi) to Hechi, 237 km (147 mi) to Nanning, 373 km (232 mi) to Fangchenggang, 448 km (278 mi) to Beihai.

Swimming in the river is a tradition of the city. The river is normally green, but sometimes in summer, floods from the mountain areas upstream bring sediment which colors the water yellow. In early 2012, a cadmium spill upstream caused serious pollution worries.^[2]

The river can be deep. Normally, the depth is 60–70 metres (200–230 ft) but can as deep as 90 metres (300 ft) before it floods over the wall. In 2000 a bus, with 78 passengers, fell over the side of a bridge, and into 27 metres (89 ft) of water.^[3]

Liuzhou (chinois : 柳州市 ; pinyin : Liǔzhōu shì ; zhuang : Liujcouh) est une ville-préfecture de la région autonome Zhuang du Guangxi en Chine. On y parle le dialecte de Liuzhou du mandarin du sud-ouest ainsi que le zhuang. 

Liuzhou (cinese: 柳州; pinyin: Liǔzhōu; zhuang: Louxcou) è una città-prefettura nel centro nord della regione autonoma di Guangxi Zhuang, nel sud della Cina. Ha una popolazione di 1,4 milioni di abitanti con un'area di 5.250 km².  Liuzhou si trova sulle rive del fiume Liu, approssimativamente 255 km da Nanning, la città principale del Guangxi. Dista 3.535 km da Pechino, 2.033 da Shanghai e 727 da Hong Kong. Liuzhou è la prima città attraversata dal fiume Liu. Pertanto, l'acqua qui è abbastanza pulita e nuotare nel fiume è una tradizione per i cittadini.

Liuzhou léase Liú-Zhóu (en Zhuang: Liujcouh, Chino: 柳州市, Pinyin: Liǔzhōu shì) Es una ciudad-prefectura en el centro de la región autónoma de Guangxi, en la región autónoma de Guangxi, República Popular China. Se ubica aproximadamente a unos 250 kilómetros de Nanning, la capital de la región autónoma. La ciudad está atravesada por el río Liu (el río Sauce), que a su paso por Liuzhou lleva unas aguas transparentes por lo que es tradición nadar en este río. Su población urbana es unos 1,5 millones en el año 2010.

Liuzhou tiene más de 2100 años de historia. Se fundó en 111 a.C., cuando entraban las personas septentrionales a esta zona antiguamente de las personas de Baiyue.¹​²​³​⁴​⁵​⁶​⁷​⁸​ ⁹​¹⁰​¹¹​Es muy importante para la zona meridional del país, sobre todo por la comunicación. Esta ciudad ha sido desde la antigüedad el nudo que conecta las provincias chinas de Guizhou (por el Río de Nanpang, hacia el Suroeste de China), Hunan (por el Canal de Gui-Liu, y el Canal de Lingqu, hacia el Norte de China), Cantón (en el este) y Sureste de Asia.

Liuzhou es famosa por su industria. Junto con Pekín y Shanghái,son las tres ciudades llegaron a producir 1 millón de coches por año en 2009.¹²​ La industria pesada de maquinaria, la manufacturera automovilística la fundición siderúrgica son tres sectores pilares de la ciudad.¹³​
