José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero [xo'se 'lwis roˈðɾiɣeθ θapaˈteɾo] (* 4. August 1960 in Valladolid, Spanien) ist ein spanischer Politiker (PSOE). Er war vom 17. April 2004 bis zum 20. Dezember 2011 Ministerpräsident von Spanien und von Juli 2000 bis Februar 2012 PSOE-Vorsitzender.

José Manuel Durão Barroso [ʒuˈzɛ mɐˈnu̯ɛl duˈɾɐ̃u̯ bɐˈʁozu] (* 23. März 1956 in Lissabon) ist ein portugiesischer Unternehmensberater, ehemaliger Politiker (PSD, EVP) und ein derzeit aktives Mitglied im Board Of Governors des International Finance Forum. Von 2002 bis 2004 war er Ministerpräsident Portugals. Von 2004 bis 2014 war Barroso für zwei Amtszeiten Präsident der Europäischen Kommission (siehe Kommission Barroso I und II).
