Der Gesamtchinesische Gewerkschaftsbund wurde am 1. Mai 1925 gegründet. Seine Hauptaufgabe ist es, die gesetzmäßigen Interessen und die demokratischen Rechte der Arbeiter und Angestellten zu wahren, sie zur Teilnahme an der Verwaltung der staatlichen und gesellschaftlichen Angelegenheiten und an der demokratischen Verwaltung der Betriebe, Institutionen und Ämter zu mobilisieren und zu organisieren. Außerdem sind seine Aufgaben die Motivation der Arbeiter und Angestellten, die Erhöhung ihres ideologisch-moralischen Niveaus und ihres Bildungsstandes sowie der Aufbau eines disziplinierten Kontingents von Arbeitern und Angestellten mit moralischen und kulturellen Qualifikationen. Der Gesamtchinesische Gewerkschaftsbund besteht aus folgenden Organen: das Arbeitsbüro, das Studieninstitut für Politik, die Organisationsabteilung und die Abteilungen der Bereiche Propaganda, Ausbildung, Freizeitgestaltung und Sport, Wirtschaft, Versorgung, Finanzen, Arbeit an der Basis, Rechtsangelegenheiten, Arbeiterinnen und weibliche Angestellte, internationale Verbindung sowie das Parteikomitee der Organe.(Quelle:China.org.cn)
