B-47 Stratojet
波音B-47“同温层喷射机”（英语：B-47 Stratojet）是一型拥有六具喷射发动机的长程中型轰炸机。它的设计目的是以高亚音速的速度自高空穿透苏联的防线，以核弹攻击苏联本土地区。B-47可以说是自二次世界大战以来一个极为重要的跨时代设计。在现代大型喷射客机上所见到几个重要特征，包括大型后掠翼跟安置于机翼下的发动机夹舱设计，此时都应用在B-47之上。 B-47轰炸机于1951年正式进入美国空军服役。虽然它在服役期间从未以轰炸机的角色参加过任何一场战争，但它在1950年代到1960年代初期承担了美国战略空军司令部战略轰炸主力的重任。在将此重担移交给B-52之后，B-47仍持续担任战略轰炸机的角色一直到1965年。除战略轰炸任务之外，一些B-47也接受了部分改装以担当其他的飞行任务；其中包括了空中侦照，电子侦察跟气象观测等不同任务。
B-50 Superfortress
B-50超级堡垒战略轰炸机（Boeing B-50 Superfortress）是波音B-29超级堡垒轰炸机二战后改进版本，装配有更强大的普拉特&惠特尼R-4360型发动机，同时加固了结构，配有更高的散热片。这是波音公司为美国空军设计最后的活塞引擎轰炸机。B-50在美国空军服役近20年。 在空军战略司令部服役结束后，B-50的机身被改装为战术空军司令部的空中加油机（KB-50）和航空气象局的气象侦察机（WB-50）。
