Max Reger (* 19. März 1873 in Brand/Oberpfalz; † 11. Mai 1916 in Leipzig; eigentlich Johann Baptist Joseph Maximilian Reger) war ein deutscher Komponist, Organist, Pianist und Dirigent.

约翰·巴普蒂斯特·约瑟夫·马克西米连·雷格（德語：Johann Baptist Joseph Maximilian Reger；1873年3月19日—1916年5月16日），德国后浪漫主义古典音乐作曲家。

雷格拥有极高的和声和复调技巧，其作品多数结构严谨，形式复杂，常常采用变奏曲式。雷格一生崇敬巴赫和勃拉姆斯，在管风琴和无伴奏弦乐器作品中继承了巴赫精神，其他作品则受勃拉姆斯的影响显著。雷格在生前名声显赫，其作品在欧洲各地大量演出。由于其音乐过于晦涩难解，而且他反对标题音乐，爱采用“纯”音乐形式创作，他的大部分作品如今鲜为人知。

马克斯·施泰纳（英语：Max Steiner，1888年5月10日 – 1971年12月28日），奥地利-美国电影配乐作曲家，影片《金刚》 (1933)、《飘》(1939)、《卡萨布兰卡》(1942)、《A Summer Place》(1959)配乐的作者。他获得26次奥斯卡音乐奖提名，赢得3次大奖（《The Informer》(1935), 《扬帆》(1942)，和《Since You Went Away》(1944)）。

施泰纳生于奥地利维也纳，15岁时就写出歌剧《Die schöne Griechin》，他的音乐老师一位是古斯塔夫·马勒，另一位是理查德·施特劳斯。 施特劳斯还是他的教父。1904年至1914年，施泰纳以音乐指挥为业。1916年他尝试谱写电影音乐。1929年应RKO Pictures制片公司邀请，为根据Florenz Ziegfeld表演的音乐剧《Rio Rita》改编的同名电影编写配乐，前往美国好莱坞。1933年他因《金刚》（1933年）一片配乐大获成功。1935年，他因《The Informer》赢得他的第一个奥斯卡最佳原创音乐奖。从此他留在美国。

Maximilian Raoul Walter „Max“ Steiner (* 10. Mai 1888 in Wien, Österreich-Ungarn; † 28. Dezember 1971 in Beverly Hills, Kalifornien)^[1][2] war ein österreichischer Komponist mit US-amerikanischer Staatsbürgerschaft. Er zählt zu den erfolgreichsten und einflussreichsten Filmmusikkomponisten der Kinogeschichte und wird auch als „Vater der Filmmusik“ beschrieben.

Die Mazurka ist ein Volkstanz, der wie die meisten Volkstänze in verschiedensten Tanzformen überliefert wird, unter anderem in Deutschland, Österreich, der Schweiz, Italien, Frankreich, Schweden, Norwegen, Niederlande, Litauen, auf den Kanaren und sogar bei den Buren in Südafrika.

Composer: Bedřich Smetana Artists: Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra, Theodore Kuchar (conductor) Bedřich Smetana was a forerunner of the Nationalist music movement in 19th-century Czechoslovakia, and played a large part in developing the country’s musical identity. This disc comprises Smetana’s most renowned work, the inimitable Má vlast (My Homeland), a series of six tone poems – composed over five years – that depict different elements of the landscape of the composer’s native country. Vyšehrad, or The High Castle, is the first movement, based on the castle in Prague – the residence of early Czech kings. It opens with arpeggios played by a duo of harps, and later a military element is portrayed with the help of a march theme. The second movement Vltava (The Moldau), depicts the route of the river from the mountains to its end. Šárka, the third movement, explores the Czech folklore centred on the Bohemian Amazon maiden of the same name. This is followed by Z českých luhů a hájů (From Bohemia’s Meadows and Fields); a depiction of a beautiful landscape on a sunny day. These first four movements were intended to complete the work, but after a gap of four years Smetana composed another two: Tábor, portraying the Hussite warriors who founded and defended the city of Tábor in 1420, and Blaník, named after the mountain in central Bohemia. This, the final movement, begins with the same driving rhythms as Tábor and later relents into a joyful hymn. It is easy to see how this work paved the way for Smetana to be heralded as one of Czechoslovakia’s greatest composers and patriots.
