Schlacht von Mingtiao/Battle of Mingtiao
鸣条之战，是夏朝末年（约公元前1600年）在商灭夏的战争中，商汤率领商部落士兵与夏军在鸣条（山西夏县之西）进行的一场决战。 在约公元前16世纪，夏王桀的统治出现了危机。夏朝在东方的属国商，乘机先征服邻近的夏属葛国（今宁陵县北），保障商都南亳（今河南省商丘市东南）的安全。又派重臣伊尹至夏王都城探测虚实。再采取分别翦除夏朝羽翼的策略，各个击破了位于夏、商之间的豕韦（今滑县东南）、顾国（今范县东南）、昆吾（今许昌）等夏朝属国，使夏王桀孤立无援。接着，商汤又率战车70乘、敢死士兵6000人攻夏王都。夏桀只好仓促率王师与商军战于鸣条，结果夏朝军队大败。 这场战争成为夏王朝灭亡的转折点。战争的结果导致夏王朝灭亡，商汤建立了中国的第二个王朝商朝。
Seeschlacht von Myongnyang/Battle of Myeongnyang
Die Seeschlacht von Myongnyang war eine Seeschlacht im Rahmen des Imjin-Kriegs. Sie fand am 26. Oktober 1597 (16. Tag im 9. Monat nach dem chinesischen Kalender) zwischen einer japanischen Seeflotte und der koreanischen Seeflotte in der Meerenge von Myongnyang statt. Diese Schlacht zählt aufgrund des zahlenmäßigen Ungleichgewichts der beteiligten Streitkräfte zu den bemerkenswertesten Seesiegen der Militärgeschichte.
