Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Supercluster is a high-performance computing solution designed for training and inferencing massive AI models. It is recognized for its ability to scale to over 131,000 NVIDIA GPUs, offering "zettascale" computing power suitable for large-scale generative AI and foundation models.
- Massive Scalability: OCI Supercluster supports up to 131,072 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs (B200) or over 100,000 NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchips in a single cluster.
- Networking (RoCEv2 & InfiniBand): It utilizes high-speed, ultra-low-latency RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE v2) with NVIDIA ConnectX-7 NICs or NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand-based switches for GP200 NVL72, offering 1.6 Tb/sec to 3.2 Tb/sec internode bandwidth.
- Compute Instances: Bare metal instances powered by NVIDIA GB200 NVL72, B200, H200, H100, and AMD MI300X/MI450X GPUs are available, providing 4x faster training and 30x faster inference compared to previous generations.
- Storage Solutions: The infrastructure supports petabyte-scale storage, including high-performance local NVMe, block storage, and specialized Lustre file systems for high-throughput training.
