The International Savate Federation (Federation Internationale de Savate) is the world governing body for the sport of Savate. The organization is dedicated to the promotion of the sport of savate and canne de combat. It currently has 63 member countries.[2] The organization holds biannual World and Continental championships, while their member countries hold national competitions.

The International Sepaktakraw Federation, commonly known as ISTAF, is the international governing body for the sport of Sepak takraw, which was formed in 1988 with five founding member countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Myanmar, officially based in Thailand and with its secretariat in Singapore.[1][2] The current President is Boonchai Lorhpipat of Thailand.[1] Its main goal currently is to spread Sepak takraw into 75 different countries and ultimately make it an Olympic sport by 2026.[3][4][5] As of April 2020, the federation consists of about 50 member national associations, mostly in Asia-Oceania, 13 of which are on provisional status.

Die International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) mit Sitz in Lausanne ist der internationale Dachverband im Skibergsteigen und Mitglied bei Sportaccord. Sie ersetzte 2008 das International Council for Ski Mountaineering Competitions (ISMC) und richtet seither Wettkämpfe im Skibergsteigen aus.[1] 44 nationale Verbände sind Mitglied in der ISMF.

In 1970 the Japan-US Soft Tennis Promotion Liaison Council was established. This is a liaison organization with American schools, and organised a friendly match between Japan and the United States for junior high school students.
In 1972, the Hawaii Soft Tennis Federation was established in Hawaii, United States. A state championship was held at the same time. Soft tennis was adopted as a regular PE event at a public high school in Hawaii.
Before and after the establishment of the Hawaii Soft Tennis Association, the Hong Kong Soft Tennis Association was established with the efforts of Taiwan (Republic of China Network Association). The Soft Tennis Association was also established in Venezuela and Brazil.
In June 1974 the first Japan-US High School Friendship Tournament was held.

Die International Sumo Federation (IFS) ist der größte internationale Dachverband des Sumō-Sports mit Mitgliedsorganisationen aus über 87 Ländern. Er wurde 1992 gegründet und ist die einzige Sumo-Organisation, die vom Internationalen Olympischen Komitee und der Welt-Anti-Doping-Agentur anerkannt ist. Die International Surfing Association (ISA) ist ein Sportverband in San Diego. Er wurde durch das Internationale Olympische Komitee (IOC) offiziell als das leitende Gremium anerkannt, das weltweit für die Verwaltung des Wellenreitsports verantwortlich ist. Sie ging 1976 aus der International Surfing Federation (ISF) hervor, die seit 1964 für die Organisation der jährlichen Weltmeisterschaften zuständig war.

Die International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) ist der weltweite Dachverband für alle gezogenen Wassersportarten. Sie wurde 1946 in Genf, Schweiz, gegründet und ist vom Internationalen Olympischen Komitee (IOC) als einzige Autorität für alle gezogenen Wassersportarten anerkannt; ihr gehören weltweit 91 Mitgliedsverbände an. Die IWWF ist zudem assoziiertes Mitglied der Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) und gehört zu den sieben Gründungssportarten der World Games.
Die Wettkampf- und Freizeitsportabteilungen der IWWF umfassen folgende Disziplinen: Turnier (Wasserski mit drei Disziplinen), Wakeboard, Barfußfahren, Show-Ski, Cable-Wakeboard, Cableski, Skirennen und Wasserski für Menschen mit Behinderung.
