Die Roten Spitzen sind ein Doppelturm und das Wahrzeichen der ehemaligen Residenzstadt Altenburg im Freistaat Thüringen. Die Stiftskirche, zu dem die Doppelturmanlage gehörte, soll 1172 in Anwesenheit von Friedrich Barbarossa und Udo von Naumburg geweiht worden sein.

以前此地区位于东德境内，两德统一以后，此地区成为德国的一部分。此地区共有390公顷葡萄园80%的种植面积为白葡萄品种，其中37%种植Müller Thurgau，28%种植Silvaner。生产非常好的QbA和Qmp-Kabinett等级的干白葡萄酒。产区内有两个子产区：Meissen和 Elstertal，4个酒村，17个单一葡萄园。

葡萄的种植始于公元 998 年，种植于萨勒和温楚斯特河的两旁，称之为萨勒－温楚斯特地区。此地区面积虽小，但却不断发展。

这里是 欧洲最北部的传统葡萄酒产区之一。基于其地理位置，该地气候清凉，天气与西部地区相比较为多变。因此，很多葡萄都是种植在劳动力密集而有助于缓和气候的岩 石梯田上。这里的产量颇低，而且只可在非常暖和的年份才能酿造出晚收型葡萄酒或精选葡萄酒。这些葡萄酒种类繁多，除了非常罕见的甜葡萄酒，所有葡萄酒均属 干葡萄酒，而且偏酸，清新宜人。资料来源： http://www.germanwines.de/
