美国内战（英语：American Civil War），中文通称南北战争，是美国自1861年至1865年发生的内战，参战双方为北方的联邦阵营（the Union，或称"the North"）、以及南方的联盟国阵营（the Confederacy，或称"the South"）。该战争爆发的起因为蓄奴州及自由州之间的政治对立，后来随着维持蓄奴的南方各州脱离联邦另立“美利坚联盟国”而演变为全面内战，最终以联邦阵营的战胜与美国奴隶制度的废除告终。
United States Space Force,USSF
美国太空军（英语：United States Space Force，缩写为：USSF）是美军的太空军事部门。它是自1947年美国空军独立以来成立的第六个军事部门和第一个新设军种，也是国防部空军部下属的一个部门。2020年《国防授权法》由美国国会通过，并于2019年12月20日将美国太空军确立为美军的独立机构。 美国太空军是作为美国空军的一个军事部门而组织的。太空部队通过空军部与空军部长领导，向美国国防部长报告，并由总统任命并获得参议院确认。就人数而言，它是美国国防部内目前最精简的机构。
