Nevers [nəˈvɛʀ] ist eine Stadt in Zentralfrankreich. Sie ist die Präfektur (Verwaltungssitz) im Département Nièvre in der Region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Nevers war Hauptort der historischen Provinz Nivernais. Nevers liegt in einer hügeligen Gegend am Ufer der Loire, am Zusammenfluss mit der Nièvre; etwa 260 Kilometer südlich von Paris.
