满洲里是内蒙古自治区直辖的县级市（准地级市），中国最大的陆运口岸城市，位于内蒙古呼伦贝尔大草原的腹地，东依兴安岭，南濒呼伦湖，西邻蒙古国，北接俄罗斯。全市总面积736平方公里。

满洲里原称“霍勒津布拉格”，蒙语意“旺盛的泉水”。 1901年因东清铁路的修建而得名，俄语为“满洲里亚”，音译成汉语变成了“满洲里”。

气候属于寒温带气候。满洲里市总人口30万，居住着蒙、汉、回、朝鲜、鄂温克、鄂伦春、俄罗斯等20多个民族。

满洲里是一座拥有百年历史的口岸城市，素有“东亚之窗”的美誉，融合中俄蒙三国风情。被誉为“东亚之窗”。

Manjur [Manžur] (chinesisch 滿洲裡市 / 满洲里市, Pinyin Mǎnzhōulǐ shì) ist eine kreisfreie Stadt, die zum Verwaltungsgebiet der bezirksfreien Stadt Hulun Buir im Autonomen Gebiet Innere Mongolei der Volksrepublik China gehört. Manjur hat eine Fläche von 696 km² und ca. 300.000 Einwohner (Ende 2010). Die Stadt ist als Grenzstadt zu Russland und durch diverse Handelshäusern das Verkehrs-, Kommunikations- und Handelszentrum Hulun Buirs. Für den kontinentalen Außenhandel mit Russland ist Manjur wichtig für ganz Nordostchina.
