Der Palio di Asti ist eines der ältesten Pferderennen Italiens, ein historisches Fest mit mittelalterlichem Umzug und einem spannenden, traditionellen Pferderennen ohne Sattel in der Piazza Alfieri, das jedes Jahr am ersten Sonntag im September stattfindet, mit Wurzeln, die bis ins 13. Jahrhundert zurückreichen, und die Leidenschaft und Identität der Stadt Asti und ihrer Viertel feiert.
