A Day in the Life (englisch für „Ein Tag im Leben“) ist ein Lied der britischen Beatband The Beatles, das am 1. Juni 1967 auf ihrem achten Album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band als Schlusstitel veröffentlicht wurde. Die Aufnahmen fanden am 19. und 20. Januar sowie am 3., 10. und 22. Februar 1967 in den Abbey Road Studios statt. Das Lied setzt sich aus zwei Fragmenten zusammen, die John Lennon beziehungsweise Paul McCartney jeweils eigenständig geschrieben und komponiert haben. Als Copyright-Halter wird das Duo Lennon/McCartney angegeben.

My Generation ist der Titel eines Hits der britischen Rockgruppe The Who, der zu ihren bekanntesten Songs gehört. Text und Musik stammten von Pete Townshend. Das Stück wurde als Single in Großbritannien am 29. Oktober 1965 auf Brunswick Records #05944 und in den USA am 20. November 1965 auf Decca #31877 veröffentlicht. Die britische Single erschien mit dem Stück Shout and Shimmy, einer Komposition von James Brown, auf der B-Seite. In den USA entschied sich das Plattenlabel für die Townshend-Komposition Out in the Street als B-Seite.[2] Das am 3. Dezember 1965 veröffentlichte Debütalbum der Gruppe wurde nach der Single My Generation benannt.
Hallelujah ist eine Komposition für vierstimmigen Chor und Orchester von Georg Friedrich Händel (1685–1759). Er schrieb das Musikstück 1741 in London als Teil seines Oratoriums Messiah („Messias“). Heute gehört es zu den bekanntesten musikalischen Werken überhaupt.
