Eclipse
Eclipse (von englisch eclipse „Sonnenfinsternis“, „Finsternis“, „Verdunkelung“) ist ein open-source Programmierwerkzeug zur Entwicklung von Software verschiedener Art. Ursprünglich wurde Eclipse als integrierte Entwicklungsumgebung (IDE) für die Programmiersprache Java genutzt, aber mittlerweile wird es wegen seiner Erweiterbarkeit auch für viele andere Entwicklungsaufgaben eingesetzt. Für Eclipse gibt es eine Vielzahl sowohl quelloffener als auch kommerzieller Erweiterungen.
FORTRAN
Fortran ist eine prozedurale, seit 2003 auch eine objektorientierte Programmiersprache, die insbesondere für numerische Berechnungen in Wissenschaft, Technik und Forschung eingesetzt wird. Der Name entstand aus FORmula TRANslation und wurde bis zur Version FORTRAN 77 mit Großbuchstaben geschrieben.
Hercules-Emulator
Hercules ist ein quelloffener Emulator, der es ermöglicht, IBM-Großrechner System/360, System/370, System/390 oder System z auf verschiedenen Systemen zu emulieren. Es laufen sämtliche Betriebssysteme, die für diese Prozessoren geschrieben wurden.
