配位化学国家重点实验室立足于基础研究工作,主要学术方向是与材料科学和生命科学密切相关的功能配合物化学、生物无机化学和固体无机化学。在功能配合物化学方面,着重研究分子基材料的组装,探索新型的分子基磁性材料、导电材料、非线性光学材料、光开关、手性分离材料和纳米器件等;在生物无机化学方面,着重合成具有生物活性的配合物分子,深入研究金属生物大分子的结构,最终在金属药物的设计、合成以及金属酶的模拟等方面取得突破性进展;在固体无机化学和表面化学研究方面,主要是探索新的合成方法,制备新颖的低维、层状和多孔固体材料,研制具有应用前景的有序纳米管、纳米丝等材料。
